St Martin de Belleville Construction – New Build Chalets x 2

Project Details:

For 2018, the first phase of a St Martin de Belleville Construction project with the building of two new build chalets.

Simon Jones has accepted this sensitive development for 2018.  The site has a chequered history with a previously failed construction attempt by other contractors and the site being the subject of a stop order.  The construction project was originally started in 2012 and the client has had a terrible 6 years of court cases, escalating costs and repeated disappointment at failed attempts to move the project forwards.

The two new build chalets will both have 4 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms.  The whole project is subject to full compliance with RT2012.  Heating will be powered by an air source heat pump.

This St Martin de Belleville Construction project involves the excavation of the site, groundworks, foundations and construction of external walls in concrete.

This St Martin de Belleville Construction development has required extensive input and continued consultation with architects, structural engineers and ground study experts.

Once the exetrnal structural works are complete and the building is watertight, works will commence on the interior.

Groundworks and Foundations

Ground studies / reports, structural engineer studies / reports, site clearance, excavation of land and bedrock, use of heavy plant and machinery, underpinning.  Provision of new utility networks (electric, water & waste), new foundations / footings, construction of concrete ground floor with internal and external openings.

Exterior structure

Stonework, concrete & timber frame, balconies, terrace, roofing, chimneys, air pressure test.

Interior fitting out

Electrical, plumbing, connection of services / utilities, internal walls, air source heat pump, insulation and screeds, chimney flues, entire internal fit out.  Further exterior works, paving and stonework.  Complete interior build including all floors and walls. Floor screeds, bathrooms, chimney flue, fireplace, flooring, entire internal fit out.
