Courchevel 1850 chalet construction & Renovation

Project Details:

Set in a private gated development just off the Bellecote piste in Courchevel 1850, Simon Jones has been instructed to extend the existing chalet to provide increased living space.  Approached through recommendation Simon has been tasked with finding an architect who will approach the Courchevel 1850 chalet construction & renovation project in a sympathetic manner given the sensitive location.

Plans are due to be drawn up in the summer of 2018 and planning permission applied for in the autumn.  Given a favourable decision by the mairie we hope to start works in the spring of 2019.

Groundworks and Foundations

Ground studies / reports, structural engineer studies / reports, site clearance, excavation, use of heavy plant and machinery.  Foundations / footings and screeds.

Exterior structure

Partial demolition of existing roof structure.  Addition of new stone roof with insulation complying with RT2012.  Extension, new window and door openings, stonework.

Interior fitting out

Complete interior renovation of existing living area with new floors and walls.  Electrical, plumbing, connection of services / utilities, internal walls, heating system, insulation, screeds, flooring.  Further external works including stone terrace, terracing and landscaping.
